The teaching of Science disciplines in disadvantaged schools is in desperate need of attention and upgrading if the critical shortage of skills in Science and Technology in our country is to be addressed. One of the major obstacles in enhancing interest and performance in science subjects at this level is the lack of laboratory infrastructure and expertise.

The provision of expertise, equipment through a well stocked storeroom and a vehicle for transport to each school on request is the solution which has become the Mobile Science Laboratory.
